Mac Desktop Computer
For many people, the Mac desktop computer was their first introduction to the Apple Macintosh. However, with the focus on portability these days, it is
easy to forget about using a desktop computer. Laptops have become so
powerful, many of us do not need the extra Mac features a desktop
computer provides.
As much as I like sitting on my couch using my
MacBook Air, there are times when I prefer to be seated at my desk.
That's where my iPod, SuperDrive and printer are. It's also
easier to use memory hogging apps like PhotoShop on the desktop.
So, which Mac desktop computer is right for me?
The most popular Mac desktops are the Mac Pro, iMac and Mac
Mini.

Mac Pro
With
an integrated memory controller, up to 4TB of storage, and 2 Optical
disk drives, the Mac Pro
is a powerhouse Apple desktop computer. It can
also be used
as a server. This may be all the Mac you ever need. With a larger
footprint than the iMac or Mac Mini, make sure you have the
space and the need for its powerful capabilities.
iMac
A space saving Apple computer desktop, the iMac is as beautiful as it is
green. The CPU is
built into the monitor, with no need for a separate unit. The keyboard
comes sans numeric, so you will have more room for your mouse. With 6
USB ports, you will need that space for your peripherals. The iMac is
clean, green and comes with a 24" screen.
Mac Mini
At the lower end of the Apple desktop line
is the Mac Mini.
It is known
as the world's most energy efficient desktop computer. Despite its
size, it contains a nifty 2.0GHz processor. It
normally ships without keyboard and mouse, so you can use the
ones you have.
Apple Desktop Computer
Even if you're attached to your MacBook, you may
find that you need
the power of a Mac desktop from time to time. For these occasions,
check out the Mac Pro, iMac or Mac Mini. You are
bound to
find one that will fit your unique needs.
