Netbook vs. iPad
What are the advantages of a tablet PC?
Netbooks, with a screen size just over 10 inches, have certainly made an enormous splash. The first netbook came with the Linux operating system. Asus was the first to release a 7 inch model. Though they were certainly appealing, in all actuality, that was a tad too small. At under $200, they flew off the shelves as Asus could not make them fast enough.
Many consumers complained that the 7 inch screen was too small. And some wanted the Windows operating system. Asus released a 10.1 inch screen with Windows XP. Many other companies followed suit as more and more people saw the need for a netbook.
While most computer companies were distracted with the netbook phenomenon, Apple created something entirely different. The iPad makes the netbook look like a child's toy. It even caught the eye of a traditional cell phone company - Nokia iPad lawsuit.
